Vicky Petrey Death – We grieve the loss of our beloved friend and former coworker Vicky Petrey, who passed away peacefully from cancer last night. Our hearts are sad. Vicky worked as a devoted monitor for the Transportation Department for sixteen years. Until her retirement in September of this year, she brought compassion, unflinching dedication, and a warm heart to her profession. Vicky was not just a coworker but also a beloved friend and a strong member of our community. Her compassion and kindness to everyone she met were the only things that could compare to her dedication to her career. Her sincere caring and constant support touched countless lives, going above and beyond the call of duty in her work.
An era came to an end with her retirement, but her legacy of friendship and service will go on forever. Everyone who had the honor of working with Vicky will cherish her lasting influence on our department and the friendship she created. We are thinking of Vicky’s family and loved ones and sending our deepest condolences as we come to terms with the loss of such a cherished member of our community. I hope the memories they have of Vicky and the lasting impact she made on everyone she met bring them comfort. Her generosity and commitment will always be felt in our hearts.
We shall all miss Vicky’s friendship, devotion, and commitment to her work, but her legacy will live on and inspire us all. Her legacy will act as a beacon of hope, a constant reminder of the enormous influence one person can have on a large number of people.
