A statewide strike has been called by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).
In response to the attack on its president, Joe Ajaero, the NLC issued an order to its members to begin a statewide strike.
The National Executive Council’s resolutions were to be carried out by the affiliates of organized labor.
Festus Osifo, the president of the TUC, revealed this to reporters on Monday.
According to Osifo, the walkout will continue until “all levels of government wake up to their responsibility.”
The Organized Labor said this week that it would go on a complete and indefinite national strike beginning on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
